Compared to 80% in the rest of Europe, only 10% of homes and businesses in the UK can connect to a full fibre network. FibreNation is on a mission across the UK to connect 3 million homes and businesses, so you can enjoy the same broadband speeds as our gigabit-city, York, home to the fastest broadband speeds in the country.
We are behind the UK’s first Gigabit City in York where 44,000 homes will enjoy the benefits of full fibre. This is the biggest fibre infrastructure currently available in the UK – and our network has made York the fastest in the country. Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon will see over 40,000 homes and business be rolled out over the next few years.
FibreNation was launched by TalkTalk in November 2018 as a wholesale FTTP operator. It operates as a separate company. We’ve got the power to do full fibre differently. Building a network that’s fully gigabit-capable and offers simple, wholesale pricing and a legacy-free business.
We’re currently looking for a Communications and Engagement Executive to support our City Communications and Engagement Manager.
About the role
You’ll help to raise awareness of FibreNation’s Full-Fibre projects and the benefits of full fibre infrastructure with a key focus on informing, educating and existing the cities and towns we are building in.
You’ll will help to achieve a range of local PR coverage about FibreNation and the full fibre rollout to all residents and businesses, that includes our key messages, with support from our PR agency. This will include helping to plan and attend relevant events and meetings and act as brand ambassador for FibreNation.
You’ll influence and engage key city stakeholders to help spread the word and utilise their networks and help to organise campaigns to gain stakeholder buy in and support including events.
You’ll take ownership of templates and collateral for stakeholder meetings and supporting City Communications and Engagement Manager to prepare for engagement activities. You’ll also work with PR agencies and and monitor all social media channels for complaints and questions.
You’ll coordinate and manage dig communications drops to residents and brief in to Brand Ambassador and create monthly and weekly reports for both internal and external audiences.
We are looking for a great communicator with a creative flare and the ability to support several projects at once. You’ll be an ambitious self-starter who is keen to make their mark in a new organisation in a supporting role which can help shape their career.
