Head of Marketing

Salford Quays, Manchester

This is an opportunity for a senior experienced leader to lead the Marketing function in Sales (B2B2C/B2B2B) Wholesale Services in TalkTalk. This leader is charged with leading a diverse team of Marketing professionals to deliver on key strategic marketing campaigns, driving visibility and customer improvement through events for new and existing partners, working closely with Group Corporate Affairs to deliver and drive value for TalkTalk Wholesale Services.

 

Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer Wholesale Services, this individual will be a strong voice across Wholesale and the wider business.

 

From a strategic point of view, this role will design & deliver the channel marketing and campaign strategy aligned to Wholesale Services strategy.   Being successful in this senior leadership role will require working in partnership with Sales, Commercial, Product & Operations. Key stakeholder interaction with the Wholesale Leadership Team will be required in order to drive decisions.

This role is offered as a hybrid role on a 6 month fixed term basis. We're open to hiring a contractor or candidates who are looking for a permanent role on the long run.

The Team

The team consists of 1 Senior Marketing Manager, 3 Marketing Managers, 1 Marketing Executive and 1 Graphic Designer. They are responsible for building and executing on the channel marketing and campaign strategy. This includes delivering marketing automation, generating marketing content and event management. Working and collaborating with Group Corporate Affairs to deliver the PR strategy by alignment and building key content.

Some of the key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Leadership:

  • Be accountable for the development of direct reports in the Team, providing clear objectives and accountability for the team whilst providing a strong support structure.
  • Drive cross-functional/departmental collaboration and truly live ‘One-Team’
  • Be accountable for all ad-hoc Projects and allocate resource accordingly
  • Lead key meetings on marketing topics as well as ensuring the financial and strategic goals are achieved
  • Attracting the best talent internally and from the external market

Partners:

  • Lead and communication of the channel marketing and campaign strategy including Platform & Fibre
  • Supporting all internal Stakeholders on our East to do business with strategy.
  • Co-ordinate marketing automation and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Design and deliver a clear digital marketing strategy that drives revenue
  • Co-ordinate with the team on marketing and partner events
  • Managing marketing spend within the budget and monitoring and tracking return on investment
  • Generating marketing content
     

Internal:

  • Working with internal teams to deliver on marketing strategy
  • Develop rapport and trust with internal teams including Sales/ Commercial/ Product & Operations
     

To be successful in this role you will need the following in your skill set:
 

Must have:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience in leading on marketing strategy & campaign
  • Experience in event management  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
