People Business Partner - Wholesale Services - 12 month FTC

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced People Business Partner to join the People team supporting TalkTalk Wholesale Services (£500m Revenue business). This role is the strategic people partner to members of the Wholesale Services Senior leadership team and supports in delivering the people strategy through effective organisation design, talent management, engagement strategies and the delivery of critical programmes.


This is an exciting time to join the team as Wholesale Services continues its growth strategy with People front and centre of its ambitions. Delivering the people strategy will be a critical component to the business unit and organisational success.

About the Team

The Wholesale Services people team are a small, cross functional group all committed to providing the best HR expertise to a business stakeholder group who welcome the support and challenge. We have fun, share learnings and always support one another.

Main duties & Responsibilities


•    Working to design & deliver the Wholesale Services people strategy
•    Partnering with Wholesale Services to ensure a ‘true’ partnering experience for senior leaders and their management teams.
•    The delivery of key people projects within wholesale services such as organisational design, TUPE transfers and capability programmes and ensure these programs are successfully delivered and embedded
•    Providing leaders and managers with support and guidance in a wide range of areas, including organisational design & problem solving, change management, employee development and performance management.
•    Playing an active role in encouraging and driving accountability for people management into line managers.
•    Supporting the annual People activities within the team including, performance reviews, salary reviews, engagement survey and training analysis
•    Coaching and developing senior leadership to help them reach their potential as well as that of their teams
•    Engaging with key stakeholders, gaining credibility, and establishing effective working relationships
•    Working with internal Talent & Resourcing teams to assist with the implementation of the talent agenda and the support of people development initiatives and resourcing activities
•    In connection with the People Services, owning any high risk or complex Employee Relations issues, providing commercially balanced advice, guidance, and support in line with employment law
•    Ensuring ENPS is on the agenda and is a key focus for the leadership teams to drive improvement of engagement across Wholesale Services.
•    Working with TalkTalk’s employee reps (OneVoice) to drive and communicate employee engagement action plans. 
•    Utilising people analytics to drive decision making and identify solutions

About You

In order to be sucessful in the role, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:

•    Excellent knowledge of employment law and HR best practice 
•    Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills 
•    Experience partnering with Sales & Commercial teams 
•    Experience with TUPE, organisational design and effectiveness, M&A and integration 
•    Commercial acumen 
•    CIPD qualified 
•    The ability to analyse statistics and data to drive decision making
