The Project Manager will play a key role within the Group Transformation function and within a specific portfolio of change, delivering a change project.
The role is comprised of four components: delivery, stakeholder management, commercial and strategic awareness, and leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivery responsibility for a project or projects
Accountable for the end to end delivery of allocated programme of work to scope, time, quality and budget (typically (£1-5m)
Oversee the delivery of the project(s) from initiation to completion, developing end-to-end project plans, following the Change Framework
Establish and maintain the overall project plan, incorporating key milestones and work packages, ensuring clear accountability and ownership across the stakeholder group
Adhere to the Change Framework, ISO:9001 and other compliance standards as required
Identify and pro-actively manage risks, issues and dependencies, escalating as appropriate
Provide potential resolutions to problems, project changes and resource constraints
Set up and manage appropriate project governance, including SteerCos and reporting
Engage project stakeholders through effective communication and reporting
Work with change colleagues (UAT and Business Readiness) to ensure project deliverables are fit for purpose
Establish and execute project comms plan; overall reporting of progress, issuance of project documentation, key messaging, pre / post -implementation comms
Identify and track project success factors and operational KPIs
Ensure that the individual projects meet business requirements and are delivered to time, budget and quality
Conduct end project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed
Ensure lessons learnt are factored in to future projects
Display problem solving acumen; take ownership of a issues and seek to drive to resolution
Stakeholder management
Engage stakeholders (including Head of level) through effective communication and reporting
Harness and direct project stakeholders to deliver project efficiently
Develop an understanding of the needs of stakeholders at different levels and work to build a broad base of stakeholder relationships
Commercial and strategic awareness
Build an understanding of the business environment for which the project is delivering
Demonstrate an understanding of key business metrics and KPIs relevant to the project
Focus on the customer to ensure solutions remain true to the objective of delivering great service
Leadership:
Demonstrate emerging leadership skills through leading a matrix or virtual project team of business SMEs
Seek opportunities to build capability of the project team, advocating project management skills and methodologies
Ensure adherence to all business compliance standards
Demonstrate a commitment to TalkTalk essentials and seek opportunities for personal development
Demonstrate a positive ‘can-do’ attitude’ and contribute to an energetic and motivated team environment
To deliver in this role you'll have:
Experience managing significant change projects
Full lifecycle end-to-end delivery
Excellent interpersonal skills
However, it would also be great if you have a PM qualification e.g. Prince 2, Prince 2 with Agile, along with 3rd party vendor management experience.
Knowledge/expertise of the telco industry and related product would be ideal.
