If you’re a Senior Developer with Design experience, a Solution Designer or Solution Architect or anything in between, you might find this of interest.
We are currently engaged in a multi million pound programme to deliver our ultrafast fibre product to consumer and business customers. This is using state of the art telco platforms such as Pega PRPC, CSGI SingleView, HP Service Activator and others alongside all the good stuff like microservices architecture, API’s, Azure etc...
Digital transformation of our online estate is one of the biggest focusses in our business, in fact Digital is at the forefront of everything TalkTalk do. This all means we are investing heavily in new IT applications to improve the customer experience and ensure our systems are fit for the future.
- Multi-million £ development to rebuild and replatform our Online Sales Journey
- Mixed on perm and cloud deployment in MS Azure
- leveraging Graph QL and a modern API Gateway (Layer 7)
- Angular frontend
- Modern SaaS cloud platforms for authentication (Auth0) and Content Management ( Contentful)
- Omni-Channel capability: New Sales Channels APIs - rule engine driven - that will be able to ultimately drive all sales channels
- Completely new, from-scratch implementation of a modern Order Management Platform - aiming for automated processing (STP) of 100% of all orders
- Modern architecture, utilising RESTful microservices where possible

We are building a team of Solution Architects and Designers in Manchester to take our department to the next level and to help deliver our ambitious programmes.
As a Solution Architect: You’ll be accountable for leading on the definition of solution architectures which define the optimal solution for meeting the project goals and the steps required to deliver, as well as ensuring aligning to our strategic blueprints. You’ll also lead Solution Designers to ensure the overall design aligns with your vision and meets our quality standards. You might be a Solution Architect looking to progress to a bigger environment.
As a Solution Designer: You’ll work closely with the business stakeholders/analysts to understand the business requirements so that the design can be produced. You’ll then work closely with our software development teams and suppliers to ensure the design is delivered to your specification.

We are looking for a large number of Solution Designers so will consider people who are Software Engineers, Software Architects, Solution Designers, Solution Architects either with Telco, Utilities or similar backgrounds or someone just from a straight digital background, as long as you have worked on enterprise level applications.
