This role is Key to the Business on Managing the End to End Supply Chain across the TalkTalk Group. Focussing upon Demand Strategy forecast planning, Delivery (OTIF) and Fulfilment efficiencies through forward & reverse logistics.
The scope of the role covers Demand Strategy forecasting / planning, Inbound Scheduling (OTIF) and Fulfilment efficiencies through forward & reverse logistics into our warehouses. Emphasis is key to maximising Availability to our Customers whilst maintaining Optimum Stock KPI Metrics in-conjunction with reducing working capital and warehousing costs.
Our CSAT & NPS scores are vital and Supply chain hold a significant role in ensuring ALL consumer orders from receipt to despatch are processed through the final mile to customer in the timeliest of manners and highest of experiences.
Reverse logistics is key in the Utilisation / Management of Stock-Turn and Asset cost control. Therefore, our Customer Journeys are Centric to our Roadmap and development of maturing the Division. So, relationship building across All Internal and External teams involved in the customer journeys, is vital for success.
How will I add value in this role?
You will add value in these 6 key areas:
Full ownership for all broadband products and associated items (cables, marketing material, spare parts) from RFP through to removal from sale. This involves influencing the product and commercial teams to ensure the right decisions are taken at the right time to achieve TalkTalk’s objectives, ensuring all systems and communications are accurate and updated in a timely manner, and delivering the best possible customer experience with every order/delivery.
Ensure TalkTalk-owned broadband stock is kept to a minimum, achieving below both GBP value and weeks of stock targets each month. Manage stock so there is minimal obsolescence, proactively notifying the relevant teams of slow-moving stock, driving commercial decisions to reduce it or coordinating the timely disposal of stock where necessary. Management of returned product, refurbishing where it is cost effective to utilise. Work closely with Finance to ensure all costs and write offs are accurately pre-empted and allocated to the P&Ls.
Provide reporting and information into the business to inform them of product and service performance, highlighting where targets are not being met and driving action plans with the relevant teams (internally or externally). Ensure all teams are managed in terms of launches, end of life, delivery delays, stock shortages, and availability issues. Work collaboratively with all parts of the business to balance their needs and targets with those of Supply Chain, finding a suitable compromise where needed.
Run collaborative meetings with both product and service suppliers, ensuring all targets will be met through a well-managed and communicated process. Ensure suppliers are delivering the best level of service, and build improvement plans with each supplier to give ongoing commercial benefits.
Coordinate the delivery of continuous improvements, projects and business change where required. Ensure the change is documented with a project plan, actions, benefits and deliverables. Keep all stakeholders up to date and escalate issues appropriately. Ensure a culture of continuous improvement exists across all product and service suppliers, with a documented roadmap of improvements in place and up to date at all times.
Team Support and Subject Matter Expertise
Support the rest of the Supply Chain team in delivering the best possible customer experience and financial results and offer SME assistance to other areas of the business, driving opportunities and efficiencies from better controls, integration and/or visibility.
