Lauren Challoner

HR Graduate
Salford Quays: The Soapworks

I joined TalkTalk as a graduate in September 2016. I really liked its culture and values. These shone through during the recruitment process which made getting the role even more exciting.

My role as an HR Graduate allows me to experience all the different parts of HR so I’ll gain experience in Resourcing, People Services, Rewards & Benefits, People Development and Internal Communications. There aren’t many organisations that would have given me the opportunity to do that.

Even though I’ve only been here for a short time, I’ve had the opportunity to undertake lots of different training, including the Dot Native Certificate in Digital Marketing.

The culture here is fantastic. It’s very informal and friendly, and a lot of effort goes into making our social events a great experience for everyone. The people here are approachable and helpful – if you’re struggling with something, there’s always someone on hand to guide you. It’s also great to work for a company that allows me to work flexibly and trusts me to get my work done.

This is a great place to work – it’s full of people who want to develop and support you. In fact, that’s what excites me most: my development. TalkTalk gives everyone the opportunity to grow and progress, so I’m excited to see what the future holds for me.
